COVID-19: Managing the impact for The Mill’s studio residents and visitors

Wednesday, 25 March 2020

Like other national and international arts organisations, independent artists and arts communities, we have been responding and adapting to how the COVID-19 virus is impacting on us all and we have made every effort to keep The Mill community and the broader community safe and well.

We are monitoring recommendations and advice form the Australian Government and SA Health.

The Mill venue at 154 Angas Street is closed to the public, yet individual artists are able to access their studios to keep their practices and creative businesses alive, working under STRICT social distancing and personal hygiene measures we have implemented.

At present, external visitors to The Mill are strictly limited and can only visit by appointment with one of The Mill team or individual residents; at only one guest per person, adhering to our COVID-19 Policy. This may change as each day evolves, watch The Mill blog for updates.

If necessary, please get yourself tested for COVID-19 at one of Adelaide’s free clinics.

The Australian Health Protection Principal Committee recommends that:

people that are unwell with cough or fever or other respiratory symptoms should not attend public events or gatherings

people who have been in close contact of a confirmed case of COVID-19, or who returned from or transited through a listed higher risk country, must not attend public gatherings until 14 days after leaving the country or having contact with a confirmed case even if they are completely symptom free

The Mill’s operations team has addressed the situation with our studio residents, and put strategies in place to limit the impact of COVID-19 within our venue.

If anything changes, we’ll let you know!

If you have questions or would like to speak with someone from our operations team, please contact info@themilladeliade.com

Stay healthy Adelaide!
