Graphic designer Todd Fischer works extensively in Adelaide’s music industry, creating gig posters and album covers.
In July 2019, he launched his own business, Creative Curators, an online artwork store specialising in unique, handmade canvas pieces.
“Currently, I feel like there are two ends of the spectrum in the art game. High-end, hand painted pieces that cost thousands and cheap print shops that make you wonder who would want something like that on their wall.
Creative Curators aims to give you a convenient middle-ground, where everyday people can afford to have a great piece of art on their wall without the thousand dollar price tag.”
Todd was a resident artist at The Mill for a short period of time, however he has high hopes that he will be able to return once Covid-19 restrictions ease.
“Working from The Mill helped force me into more of a routine, increase my output and get that feeling of accomplishment and then disconnect at the end of the work day.
Then there’s the unique benefit to The Mill that other co-working spaces might not necessarily have and that’s the specific artist niche they’ve carved out. Every single person I’ve met there has inspired me with their craft in a range of different ways and mediums which really gets the creative juices flowing.”
