Kat is an emerging artist painting in acrylics and oil. Kat grew up just outside of Boston, Massachusetts, USA and earned her BS in Finance from Bentley University. Throughout her 25 year career working in Finance and Human Resources for major corporations and ivy league schools, she often found herself drawn to visual and performance arts in her free time.
In 2019, she moved to Australia for what was meant to be a two-year project for her partner’s work. However, they quickly fell in love with the country’s vibrant culture and natural beauty, and decided to make it their home. It was during this time that she began painting as a way to explore her creativity and connect with her new surroundings.
What started as a personal outlet has grown into a passion, and she has made painting a central part of her life. She is currently focused on creating a body of still life work, exploring themes of light, texture, and the quiet beauty of everyday objects.
